Derek Fletcher


Derek graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Physical Therapy after completing a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley as an Academic All-Canadian Volleyball player. Derek has continued to study at a post-graduate level pursuing his Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy as well as taking courses from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, Active Release Technique, Functional Dry Needling (IMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen, Mulligan Concepts, and additional courses by Cliff Fowler, Shirley Sahrmann and Greg Bay.

Derek first became exposed to physiotherapy as an athlete in University. Physiotherapy allowed him to continue to participate in his sport and he now finds no greater joy than using his knowledge and skills to allow others to participate and excel in what they love. Derek incorporates his experience and various training to benefit his clients with a holistic, manual and active approach.

When not working or taking courses, you will find Derek enjoying the outdoors. Whether he is snowboarding, hiking, playing basketball or beach volleyball, Derek believes in living an active lifestyle.
