CLASS DESCRIPTION:

INTRO TO PILATES: New to Pilates. You have just completed your four to six private sessions and have been given the go ahead to join a group.

FITNESS beginner: You have completed one term of INTRO TO PILATES and are ready to move on.

FITNESS intermediate: You have done a minimum of two terms of group classes at the beginner level. Ask your instructor if you are ready to join this level.

FITNESS advanced: You have been regularly attending group classes for at least a year to get to this level.

REHAB: You suffer from chronic pain, have ongoing joint issues which will require us to modify most of the classical Pilates exercises. Certain exercises of the classical repertoire will be contraindicated.

PARKINSONS: You have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s or Parkinson’s like disease. You will focus on maintaining mobility, balance and strength as well as work on fall prevention. All in a fun and social environment

PILATES FOR NEUROLOGICAL REHAB: You have suffered a stroke, have been diagnosed with MS or other neurological diseases and want to move in a slower paced class suited to your needs.

MAT beginner: You are just starting out to learn Pilates moves.

MAT intermediate/advanced: You have mastered the fundamentals and beginner’s exercises over at least two terms.

DROP IN: these classes will only be offered in July, August and over Christmas.

PILATES FOR PREGNANCY: Pilates is the perfect way to stay in shape and maintain good posture during pregnancy. This will help to improve or reduce common issues, such as low back pain, pelvic floor problems and weak feet. Available for privates or groups. Groups are by request – we need three people to form a group. If you are experienced in Pilates and currently in one of our groups, then you may continue in that group, as all our instructors are able to modify exercises for you.
