Traditional Chinese Medicine Practioner | Craniosacral Therapy | Visceral Manipulation

I began my working career in 2003 as an air traffic controller, where I was in charge of the safety of thousands of passengers and crew daily. As the years went on, I became emotionally numb because of the on-job stressors I was experiencing and my work environment. I could not understand why I felt the way I was, let alone articulate what I was feeling. This eventually culminated in a deep soul-searching journey.

It is said that we cannot selectively numb the painful feelings that the heart experiences; and that when we numb the heart, we numb out everything, including all the beautiful emotions that are available to us from our hearts. I came to realize that I was ignoring the soft voice in my heart. The more I ignored it, the more numb and unhappy I became.

This sparked a deep yearning to understand the relationship between the physical body and the proverbial heart and how the emotions we feel affect our physical body and vice versa. This journey transitioned me from working as an air traffic controller to dedicating myself as a holistic acupuncturist and lead to the evolution of a treatment style where I work with each client on the level that is needed physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. I see you as a whole person first and foremost, instead of solely the condition affecting you.

My learning to release unresolved emotions and training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation all blend into an integrative style of practice where Acupuncture, manual therapies, and personal coaching interweave hand-in-hand. This means I pay attention to what is happening below the surface to understand the causal cascade that leads to the condition in the first place. My commitment is to strive to help each person on the level where they need it the most: externally, internally, physically and psychosomatically. The ultimate goal is always to help the person in front of me discover their optimal wellness in body, mind, and spirit.

I received my Diploma of Acupuncture in 2016 from the Faculty of Health and Community Studies at Grant MacEwan University and further studied Esoteric Acupuncture with Dr Mikio Sankey, Craniosacral Therapy with Upledger Institute, and Visceral Manipulation under the mentorship of Dr Kevin Larocque.

I grew up around the Vancouver area during my formative years before moving away. Coming back to practice here at Trimetrics, for me, is both a completion and a beginning.
