Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation & Intrapersonal Coaching

North Vancouver Acupuncture

Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Personal Coaching are a wide-ranging set of modalities interlinked by their shared holistic view: We are more than just the sum of our parts; we are thinking, learning, feeling, growing beings that go well beyond what we perceive with our eyes. By reducing each person to a set of alphabetic letters and numerical figures, we sacrifice all the subtle shades of colour that are part of the individual, including their physiological tendencies, psychological experiences, and social relationships with others and themselves. These elements form the different layers that make up a unique individual, which means the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual — of the human spirit overlap much like the colours of a rainbow. Not only can a physical injury have psychological comorbidity, but a psychological stressor can manifest in the physical body.

The use of hair-thin, solid needles to create a nociceptive stimulus at a predetermined acupuncture point signals the central nervous system to boost its homeostatic response in regulating the body’s many systems, such as digestive, immune, circulatory, endocrine, etc. Acupuncture points may also be stimulated via a thermic or photonic stimulus.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Theraphy is a gentle, hands-on release of soft tissue restrictions throughout the body, with a particular focus on soft tissue that surrounds the whole spine from the cranium to the sacrum.

Visceral Manipulation

This is very gentle, hands-on manipulation to softly guide all the organs in the viscera back to their optimal position, thereby relieving any pressure exerted on the organs due to visceral crowding and preconditions releasing muscular tension to allow the body to return to its natural alignment.

Intrapersonal Coaching

Intrapersonal Coaching provides a compassionate, candid conversation to help a person understand the inner workings of their psychology, how it may be impacting their physical and mental health, with a bigger focus on becoming more heart-centred.

With a focus on what each client feels that they are struggling with the most, a combination of modalities is tailored to help them get the most out of their treatment. Very frequently, multiple modalities are incorporated into treatment. Clients leave with relief from their physical pain and buoyed by the mental-emotional recharge. This is the next evolution of holistic health, where physical, mental, emotional are all treated concurrently, cohesively.
